Viewing: Resources / Board of DirectorsMary Ann McCauley, ABC, Chapter AdvocateMary Ann is president and principal of Catalyst Communications, located in the Twin Cities, providing strategic communication counsel to financial services, telecommunications, electronics, health care, legal, manufacturing, nonprofit, residential and commercial real estate firms. She is a frequent guest lecturer for international, regional and local professional associations and universities. Her prior experience includes roles as communication manager for United Technologies Communications Company, Centerre Bancorporation, The American Nurses Association and Hallmark Cards. She began her consulting career as a vice president with Brum and Anderson Public Relations, Minneapolis. She was the 2000 recipient of the IABC Chairman’s Award and was named Communicator of the Year by IABC U.S. District 4 in 1982. Active in IABC, Mary Ann has served in several roles, including as chair, on the IABC Accreditation Council. She is a past president of IABC Minnesota, her home chapter, where she also served as director of leadership development, director of professional development, and treasurer. She chaired the 2000 IABC Gold Quill Awards program and the 2001 IABC Silent Auction. She has served twice on the international board of directors and is a former district director. She has served twice on the international program advisory committee and has been appointed for a third term for the 2008 conference. Mary Ann is an accredited member of IABC and a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. She is a volunteer consultant with MAP (Minnesota Assistance Project). She serves as treasurer on the board of directors of the Glacier Lakes Chapter of the Audi Car Club of North America. |
