Cindy Schmieg, Finance Director
Cindy Schmieg is President of Capira Marketing-Communications, an independent agency devoted to helping clients define, document and deliver their brand. She has 23 years of experience with external and internal corporate communications in global companies including brand development, merger and acquisition communications, employee communications, marketing communications, advertising, public relations and writing. As an IABC member since 1992, she has served as president of IABC Minnesota along with roles in marketing and professional development. Currently she serves on the IABC Pacific Plains Region (PPR) Board as Finance Director. In 2006-2007, she was a Chapter Advocate for PPR. She has won several Bronze Quill awards and a Silver Quill. Cindy has a B.S. in Mass Communications specializing in Advertising/Public Relations from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota and a Masters of Business Communications (MBC) from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. Cindy also serves on the Church Council at Faith Lutheran Church in Waconia, Minnesota.
